When I was in High School, Fall was often my most productive time of year. Ironically (or maybe not) enough, it was also my busiest time of year. The new school year had just strated, and I was busy settling into my academic routime. I did chorus and took dance lessons. I was also on the swim team, with 1-2 hour practices every day, and meets at least once a week that often kept me out way past dinner time. Despite the extreme amount of activities I had to contend with, those were some of my happiest, and most productive times. Basically, I think I function better when I only have limited amounts of free time.
I’m finding this to be the case right now. I work a full-time job, and I just started a part-time one as well. I’m planning a wedding. I’m trying to squeeze in as much exercise as I possibly can. It’s summer, which means that the family and friend social engagements are numerous right now. Yet, I feel pretty good. I feel like I am managing it, making this work. The one thing I really want to try and find some more time for is blogging – there is so much I want to do, and say, and get involved with, and it really feels like it is last on my list right now.
Busy is good, and I know my life will get less busy after October 8th – but for now, I am relishing it.
